Mid North Passenger Network LOGO

The Mid North Community Passenger Network (MNCPN) is an extensive community transport service working within the Mid North Region designed to transport disadvantaged people, the aged and infirm. Clients are transported to medical appointments by car or bus.

The service region extends over 12,282 square kilometres and covers four Council areas - Clare and Gilbert Valleys, Wakefield Regional Council, District Council of Mallala and Regional Council of Goyder. The service is jointly funded by the Passenger Transport Service-Home and Community Care (HACC), associated Council's and client contributions.

The Community Passenger Network has cars based at Clare, Eudunda, Balaklava, Hamley Bridge, Riverton and Burra available 5 days/week plus a medical bus travelling to Adelaide four days a week. Volunteer drivers assist in carrying those eligible to medical appointments, shopping and other social activities (conditions apply). Social appointments are subject to availability as all medical appointments take priority.

The service is available for transport to medical appointments between 10am and 2pm locally and in Adelaide - MNCPN are happy to negotiate this with medical rooms or hospital on your behalf.

If you have a medical appointment and are unable to access other transport services then this service is available to you.

Eligibility:

  • You may not own or drive a vehicle
  • You may be frail, elderly, isolated or have a disability
  • You may not have access to transport
  • You may need to attend a medical appointment and have been advised you cannot drive home
  • Family or friends are unable to assist you at this time
  • You may be temporarily transport disadvantaged for other reasons

Bookings are essential - Please contact the co-ordinator, Mid North Community Passenger Transport Network on (08) 8842 1677 for further information, eligibility criteria or to book your trip.

Volunteers are required to keep the scheme operating effectively. If you would like to become a volunteer driver please contact the Co-ordinator on the number above.
