The Mid North Community Passenger Network (MNCPN) is an extensive community transport service working within the Mid North Region designed to transport disadvantaged people, the aged and infirm. Clients are transported to medical appointments by car or bus. The service region extends over 12,282 square kilometres and covers four Council areas - Clare and Gilbert Valleys, Wakefield Regional Council, District Council of Mallala and Regional Council of Goyder. The service is jointly funded by the Passenger Transport Service-Home and Community Care (HACC), associated Council's and client contributions. The Community Passenger Network has cars based at Clare, Eudunda, Balaklava, Hamley Bridge, Riverton and Burra available 5 days/week plus a medical bus travelling to Adelaide four days a week. Volunteer drivers assist in carrying those eligible to medical appointments, shopping and other social activities (conditions apply). Social appointments are subject to availability as all medical appointments take priority. The service is available for transport to medical appointments between 10am and 2pm locally and in Adelaide - MNCPN are happy to negotiate this with medical rooms or hospital on your behalf.
